sites for small businesses. There are lots of web designers
out there, from the huge multi-million pound agencies to the
single one-off amateur designers. However, we think there’s
a gap in the coverage, which affects small businesses who
want a web site.
There are thousands of small businesses out there, many
of whom know that they should have a website, but few of whom
know how to go about getting one. They may well have seen
adverts from web designers promising them all sorts of wonderful
things, but have been put off by all the jargon and technobabble
these people always use. That’s where we come in.
the voodoo lab is a professional web design
agency, but we pride ourselves in being a bit different from
the rest. We’re real people, who understand that small
businesses want web sites, but don’t want to have to
put up with computer boffins spouting nonsense in order to
get them. So when we come and talk to you, we won’t
go on about domain names, hosting packages, search optimisation
and the like. Instead, we’ll spend our time finding
out what you do, not telling you what you can have. We’ll
ask you what you want your web site to do and say, and then
we’ll design it accordingly. |

Why do we do it?
the voodoo lab is all about honesty and
fun.
There are loads of web designers out there, all beavering
away doing their stuff. The big ones create fantastic sites,
but charge a fortune for them. The small ones, often as not,
get away with selling terrible sites to people who just want
to get themselves onto the ‘net.
Having worked in IT for over ten years, creating corporate
web sites and writing software manuals and marketing packs,
we figured it was time to go it alone and try to bridge that
gap.
And we like doing that.
After so many years working in-house at IT firms, it’s
really nice to get out into the real world again, talk to
different people (i.e. not programmers), and work with different
businesses. And it’s especially nice not having a boss
any more ;)
So that’s what the voodoo lab is all
about – having some fun, doing what we want to do, meeting
and working with new people, and all the while creating great
sites for businesses who might not otherwise have one. |
